A Long Lost Friend

Hi friends! Well, as you can see, it has been a while since I have blogged. So, to get caught up with what's been going on lately Ill start with a great story finding a lost friend. I am a caregiver and go to training at the office every now and then. Last February I was at one of these training sessions, and met a lovely lady there. There was something about her that I just couldn't put a finger on. But I was drawn to her for some reason. We talked some, but actually didn't have alot of time to get to know each other. We left the training out the door the same time, chatted a little more, then got into or own cars and left. I thought that I would like to be friends with her, but since the training sessions were rather rare, I didn't see how that would happen.
In the meantime I have been hanging out (online) at Facebook. Lately I have been seeing alot of my classmates from school. I am glad to run into them, and think its cool that we can come into contact again through Facebook. We're planning our 40th class reunion for next July. Since I have been thinking about my formal classmates, I have been especially wondering about a friend I met in 6th grade named Mary Ann, and wondering where she was. We also knew each other all through Jr and Sr high school. I have thought about her through the years and would love to find her again. So one day I typed her name in the search field at Facebook. Well, immediately her picture came up(As an adult now). I was pretty sure it was her and she was actually here at Facebook! I was so excited; I clicked on her pic and it took me to her profile. I put in a friend request, and within a few hours she excepted. So we excitedly conversed in messages, and exchanged phone numbers. We made arrangements to meet at a Starbucks. I got there first, then she came in hurridly and said "Hi!, I have to leave real quick and get something and I'll be right back" and left her purse with me so I would "trust her". Well she came back in about 5 minutes with a bouquet of flowers in her hand and told me they were for me. I thought this was so thoughtful and sweet of her. We started talking and got caught up with what was going on in our lives. She told me she was a caregiver, so I was like, "oh wow thats a funny coensodence" then asked her what company she worked for. She told me and it was  the exact company I worked for! Then Mary Ann asked "were you in that training seminar last February?" I said I was, then we both looked at each other and freaked out! "Oh my God!" we said. She was that same special lady I met there and talked to, and was drawn to!!!!! And she felt the same about me -she was drawn to me also. So that nice lady that I had wished I could be friends with at that training that cold day in February was actually my best friend in 6th grade and classmate 7th-12th grade!!!! How amazing is that??!!! Wow! We were both beside ourselves and couldn't believe it. What a coensodence!! So we have been talking on the phone, emailing, and she even came over to my house.I am so happy to have my Mary Ann back in my life. I hope we will never loose contact again!

Second Day of 2009

Hi friends! It's now the second day of the new year. I wanted to blog yesterday but had some shopping to do, then dinner to cook, and afterwards while hanging my new curtains up, I fell through the chair I was standing on and landed flat on my back. It hurt, but I didn't get hurt, amazingly, so I'm praising God for that. The first day of 2009 we had tacos for dinner. Marian, my daughtet, made them and I didn't have to do any cooking-Yay! I like to eat, but not cook. Tonight we are having roast. Lowell, my husbund's favorite. I got some housework done, and plan to do some crocheting later. I wanted to share this photo of my husbund and I last August on our bikes. We had a great time bicycling the last part of the summer, and I actually lost some weight only to gain it back this winter. I can't wait until the warm weather returns so we can get back into our bicycling routine. Well, have a great evening, friends! Hugs, Diana

Year Finale

Hello my dear special friends! I wanted to write one more time this year to wish you all a great and wonderful New Year. I would like to inspire you to exercise your faith just like you exercise you body to shape up and build up your muscles, and giving you strength. Get on your spiritual treadmill and work your faith muscles! How do you do that? By learning and growing in knowledge of God and His personality traits, His goodness, and His care, love, and mercy. The Bible says to build up your faith. So you meditate, read, study, and become a student of God's Word-the Bible.

With God all things are possible! Think of it--all things! Trust in the Lord with allyour heart and lean not to your own understanding. Proverbs 5.3

Do you have any new goals/resolutions for 1009 ? I thought I would share mine with you:

MY NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS/GOALS FOR 1009

Get organized! In all areas of my life.

Take care of myself better

Focus on other's needs

Maturing my love walk

Write in blog more

For God to be glorified in my life by my actions and words

Speaking kind and uplifting words to encourage others

Streatch my faith

This is my moto for 2009:

With God all things are possible Mark 10:27 & Luke 1:37 says it this way:

For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.

Hello again. I just got back from shopping and bought some new drapes for my front room and kitchen. They're burgangy and gold. I am using basically the same colors in both rooms. It started out to be red, but we have seemed to of made it more of a burgandy red. I havn't had drapes up for quite a long time--only blinds, because I was going for the "open" look, but now I'm wanting it to be more cozy, so thats the reason for the drapes. I got them at a discount, so that's a bonus! I won't hang them until tomorrow because I want to dust the windows and blinds first. I took a pic of me out shopping tonight, so this pic is very recent! I'm going to try to upload and post it

Well friends, its almost 2009 so I need to get this published. So, goodbye until next year!

Hugs and God bless!

Too Much Stress! And Updates

Hi my friends! I know its been awhile since you have heard from me. I'm so sorry about that. I and my family are doing fine--now. I had to take my daughter to the emergency room the other day. She started having seizures at work. The hospital did lots of tests but couldn't find the cause, other than stress, but they found evidence of pot in her urine and blood. She's fine now though, and no more seizures. Then, about a week later my husbund went to the emergency room because he got some turkey stuck in his throat. This was the day before Thanksgiving and we were having our dinner. He could breathe ok, it was just stuck in his asoficus (sp)-lol! Thank God for spell check on this thing! So anyway they gave him demorall to put him out then stuck a tube down his throat and pushed it down to his stomach. The whole process took 5 minutes (minus the time he was out) so he got to go home the same night. Also, my daughter and her family (with 3 kids) moved in with us for awhile because they lost their electric power. Luckily our house is big enough, so they could have their own space downstairs. The had a tv, and playstation games to keep them occupied. I have alot of barbie dolls with houses, furniture, dishes, and all their accessories so my little grandaughter had those to play with. My daughter is unemployed right now, and has been looking for work, however her husbund is working as a maintenance man in an apartment complex.

I havn't had any real bad problems with my Fibromyalsia. Thank God for medication and pain relievers!

I am a crocheter and have been crocheting some things up for Christmas presents.. I'm in the advanced beginner stage of crochet and try to stick with the easier patterns. But I want to get really good at it so I have been watching videos at You Tube to learn some new techniques. I'm really excited about it. It's so cool to be able to take some yarn and crochet hook and make some beautiful things with them. Last year I wanted to learn to knit also, so I taught myself using videos, and written instructions. I finally got it, but it took awhile. I think it's alot harder to knit, then to crochet, but I'm sure not everyone agrees with me on that. Well, thats basically it for updates. Thank you for reading and I pray you all have a blessed holiday season! Until next time, bye, hugs, and God bless!
